The forgotten plot
Right, well that’s all the inspiration I need!
This roadside front garden was a poor old sight. Old struggling planting, which needed refreshing, poor soil that needed pumping up. So I got to work with a clear design plan in mind.
Laurel hedging to help noise reduction from the road, and to plant up low maintenance shrubs to bulk the space out and add ground cover. Ceanothus, Skimmia, Viburnum Tinus, Photinia, Ilex and a few token Daffodils (it is February/March) to add some instant colour.
All planting that will look after itself, will sometimes need a trim, but just helps to keep the garden looking tidy and importantly not need 100% attention that a lovely growing family needs to tend to.
