Peddars Barn – Big Build – Part 3

Stage 3, we are now adding Perenial planting for spring and early summer.

A beautiful mid March day matched my mood as I added the powerhouse plants of this garden.

Perennial planting such as Delphinium, Lupin, Allium and Geranium create the colourful backbone of the central cottage garden bed. Gladioli and Lilly bulbs make up the pink perennial bed and will demonstrate a wonderful show of colour there.

While in the Prairie garden bed I am matrix planting Sanguisorba, Verbena Bonariensis and Knautia Macedonica to form long wavy pops of colour to compliment grasses.

Nandina compliments the ever hopeful Rose shoots now appearing and will form year round interest in this bed.

The whole picture is coming together, a fresh new season of growth, adding colour and vibrancy to the borders and beds we lovingly created.
