One for sun, One for shade
Knowing what plant will thrive where is essential to good plant selection.
In this garden, underneath this pergola, we had two pockets of planting which were in totally different conditions for light.
Under a large Cherry Tree we had a shady pocket, and we had a sunny pocket the other side. Using shade tolerant Fuchsia and Geranium Phaeum, we will add colour to this tricky shady area. On the sunny side we will have Salvia Amistad and Geranium Rozanne, which are both sun lovers!
Both pockets have a consistent backdrop of Evergreen planting, Pittosporum and Hebe working well together for all year round interest.
I nice little project this, just using knowledge of plants and applying this to good effect.
