Working with my client on Garden Design is one of the best things about what we do.
We worked this driveway project in stages, first, to draw up a plan for the area, then to lay the driveway, then to plant up and soften the area with wonderful planting.
Here in these beds we have planted in drout tolerant species, to accommodate for our changing climate in a very exposed area of the property, full sun. First we begin with the structure, an Amelanchier Lamarkii tree in the corner with superb blossom and beautiful tender leaves, a Ceanothus holding the central space, grasses, dogwoods, Iris, Lavender, Perovskia, these will all provide scent and colour into the long summer months.
A real treat to walk through to get to your front door, wouldn’t you say!
