This area is so exposed, a long open garden, with sun baked beds, this required some proper thought regarding drout tolerancy. Choosing the right planting to work with here was essential, so all planting here will tolerate lack of moisture, and with our climate changing like it is, this is so important.
Lavendar, Nepeta, Verbana, Erigeron, Iris, Grasses and good evergreen structure with Pittosporum Tennuifolium and Arbutus Unedo (Strawberry Tree) all play a part in creating these beautiful beds. Salvia is a must too, all this planting will be colourful and beautiful and flow together in a free loose style, underpinned with some beautiful Derbyshire Peakstone gravel.
